#3 Best practices for Process Mining Education

Many challenges exists in process mining education, mostly related to 1) the lack of appropriate materials, especially data and cases, 2) different focus areas between commercial applications of process mining on the one hand, and more novel and state-of-the-art techniques in academic research, on the other hand, 3) a lack of focus on the event log preparation phase of process mining, and 4) how to incorporate (or not) different toolings into process mining courses.

In order to address these issues, this brainstorming session aims to discuss the requirements of didactic materials further and to brainstorm how the existing challenges can be tackled. For the latter part, the goal is to develop a set of best practice guidelines and materials for process mining education that answer existing challenges.

This brainstorm seminar will be organized as a satellite event of ICPM’2023 in Rome on October 20-21, 2023.

Program coming soon.
